Does the Free McBoot card need to always be in slot 1? I don't want to put game saves on it. I was hoping to put it in the third slot of a multitap (leaving the first two as I usually do), but it doesn't show up. And when I put Free McBoot normally in the 2nd slot, HDLoader and emulator menu items don't appear, but others do. This is an Free Memory Card Boot (FMCB) installer. It was previously known as the 'Unofficial FMCB v1.8C' installer. No part of it was directly re-used from FMCB v1.7 itself, but parts of it were based or referenced from the code of FMCB v1.7. The files in the fmcb-install folder are from Jimmikaelkael's PS3MCA project.

Hi! So I was wondering if there is a way to make my own 'Free MCBoot' Memory Card for the Playstation 2 because I have 2 Playstation 2 Memory Cards and only 1 PS2 Game so I dont think I'm going to be needing those Memory Cards much so I was wondering if there is a way to turn one of those PS2 Memory Cards into a 'Free MCBoot' Memory Card. I know I can just buy a 'Free MCBoot' Memory Card or a Moddef PS2 off of eBay but I dont have much money. Also my PS2 isnt Modded/Homebrewed but I want to Mod it with Free MCBoot so I can run Emulators such as SNES Station. Or should I just use my Homebrewed Nintendo Wii? The problem with my Homebrewed Wii is that its in horrible condition and I only have a Wiimote so I can only use NES, Gameboy or Atari Emulators and I cant use Emulators like SNES, N64, GENESIS, etc. Please let me know! :)

I've finally got an IDE drive and Free McBoot into my fat PS2. I've been able to copy most of my games onto the HDD, and they play nicely with no problems. Loads are very fast, very nice.

The only part I'm confused about is memory card management. I've normally had two cards in. And the majority of my games only recognize slot 1. Does the Free McBoot card need to always be in slot 1? Now when I start a game from HDLoader, and then physically switch out the memory card. That works.

But is that what everyone else is doing? Or what should I be doing? Thanks!
